Michelle Steven is a Mudgee artist whose work explores the beauty she sees in the
everyday fostering a love of vintage pieces, the memories they hold and nature with its
perfect imperfections. Using charcoal and ink Michelle creates expressive and elegant
mixed media still life works which have been described as soulful and whimsical.
Michelle showed an early passion for art and creativity and went on to study Fine Arts at
COFA, now UNSW Art & Design. She has since exhibited in solo and group shows, been
a finalist in several prizes and recently won the hanging art prize at Art Unlimited 2024.
