Workshop Overview

It is no secret that watercolour is a challenging medium.
Professional watercolour artist, Denise Faulkner, will give you an insight into her practise and hopefully demystify this medium while creating one of two pieces you would be proud to display in your home. 
Through this workshop you will learn to go with the flow when it comes to painting with watercolours and learn to be patient as this medium doesn’t like to be rushed.
You will be following Denise’s technique of painting in layers, using the mediums translucent qualities to create depth and as a way to mix colours directly on the painting. 
You will learn to embrace mistakes, splashes, paw prints (also how to fix them wherever possible) 
And at the end we will be adding the important details which will hopefully bring you an almost meditative calm and focus as you bring your paintings to life all while having a greater appreciation for our feathered friends and beautiful porcelain ginger jars.

Denise Faulkner is a professional watercolour artist. Her work is in private collections worldwide. She currently has a few pieces in the “Nest in the Hills” Exhibition at Mudgee Arts Precinct.
